Now the cat is out of the bag, ROLI is bringing the Seaboard Block back onto the market. The new MPE keyboard is called ROLI Seaboard Block M and is a revised version of the earlier Seaboard Block.

Since the last teaser video was released, there has been speculation and discussion about the new product from ROLI, and not only here on AMAZONA.de. Now it's clear, it's the compact Seaboard Block M.

The MPE keyboard offers 24 keywaves, which is what ROLI calls the key-like, wave-shaped elevations over which the keyboard is played. These offer intuitive sound shaping options using gestures such as strike, press, glide, slide and lift, so that your own musical performance can be much more expressive than on conventional keyboards. With a wireless battery life of 10 hours, you can play music for longer on the Seaboard Block M.

The Seaboard Block M includes the Studio Software Suite, which ROLI says offers inspiring features such as Smart Chords, Multi-Layered Arpeggio and Macros, all tailored specifically to improving musical performance. The ROLI Studio Player offers a selection of 400 sounds and presets.

ROLI Studio Drums is the perfect companion for MPE beatmakers. This separate plug-in within ROLI Studio offers 15 drum kits, each with 16 different controllable parts.

Seaboard Block M

According to ROLI, Seaboard Block M integrates seamlessly with most DAWs – including Ableton Live 11+, Logic Pro and Cubase – taking full advantage of the instrument's MPE capabilities. In addition to a wireless Bluetooth connection, it offers the ability to connect to hardware instruments via a MIDI out port and to other devices via a USB-C port.

Several ROLI products can be connected to one another via the so-called DNA connectors. Optionally with the LUMI Keys Studio Edition or another Seaboard Block M to expand the keyboard from 24 to 48 keywaves. And who knows whether another product from ROLI won't be added soon.

The Seaboard Block M including ROLI Studio Software Suite and a voucher for the ROLI Sound Store can now be pre-ordered. The price is 349.95 euros. Delivery is scheduled to begin in March 2024.
